Flight Instruction

Private Pilot Training

Most members join the club with no previous flying experience.  That's ok, because YJFC is equipped with the people and the resources to help you start from scratch and earn your wings.  Private Pilot training usually takes six months to a year to complete depending on how often you can fly, your determination, and a number of other factors.  It usually costs $4600-$6600, and you pay as you go - you're not committed to finish just because you take a few lessons.  It's not cheap, but you can compare that to as much as $8000 anywhere else in Atlanta.

Instrument Training

Already have your private pilot certificate?  The club has two aircraft (552GT, and 975GT) you can use as instrument trainers.  Just like your private training, you can expect it to take a lot of work and determination.  However, the rewards of being able to take off in cloudy weather and know where you are when you're above them will be well worth it... not to mention to the safety increase that comes with the rating.

Commercial Training

Ready to turn your hobby into an occupation? Or maybe you just want to be a more proficient pilot.  Either way, Cessna 975GT is ready for you.  The commercial rating is the first step to making a career our of aviation.  YJFC is here to help you make that happen.
