Membership Costs

Dues

Every member who wishes to participate in any club activities during a given semester must pay dues. Activities include general meetings, airport fun days, and flyins. Dues are:

$15 Students
$25 for Non-students

Flight Fees

Flight Fees cover the fixed costs of aircraft ownership. This includes tiedowns, insurance, and calendar-based maintenance. Discounted Flight Fees are available only for students on the waiting list who are assigned an instructor more than half way through the semester, or for members who join the club more than half way through the semester. The half-way point of each semester is "drop day" and can be found on the registrar's website. Discounted flight fees are offered based on the club's volunteer policy. Flight fees are:

$94 Volunteer
$176 Non-volunteer

How to Pay

Put your member number on your check. There are three ways to pay flight fees:

  • At an EC Meeting (check the schedule): This is the best way to pay, and the fastest way to get scheduling priveleges, usually within 24 hours.
  • By Mail: Processing of payments by mail may take as much as 7-10 days. Please plan ahead and mail them well before the expiration date of your scheduling priveleges. You can mail checks to:

YJFC

541 10th St. NW

PMB 246

Atlanta, GA 30318

  • In the lockbox: You can drop your check in an envelope at the lockbox at Hawker Beechcraft Services at Fulton County Airport. This is the least preferable way to pay your flight fees unless you do it far in advance of the current expiration date, as processing this payment method can take up to two weeks.
