Dinner flight out to LZU
There will be a dinner flight out to LZU this Friday (6/19/2009). We'll meet at FTY at 6 pm for a 6:30 PM wheels up departure and be back at county around 11 PM or so. Anyone who is interested, can contact Shahin Mehrabanzad ( VP Programs - Summer 2009 ) for more information. See you there !
YJFC Schedule related updates
On June 9, 2009 at 6:30 PM, Shahin will be doing a presentation on Oshkosh, which will cover why you should attend Oshkosh and how you can do it. This will be a general meeting and will be conducted in room 209 of the IC building. Pizza and drinks will be provided ! The CFI meeting which was originally scheduled for June 30, 2009 has now been re-scheduled for June 16, 2009 and Bernie Dvorscak's talk has now been re-scheduled for June 30, 2009 from June 16, 2009. Lastly, the New Airplane Committee meeting will also be conducted on June 16, 2009.
Fall 2009 activities to include a tour of Dobbins ARB !

The list of exciting activities for Fall 2009 now includes a tour of Dobbins ARB ! The exact dates of the event will be posted in due course of time. Also, the list of speakers for Fall 2009 includes: AE Professor Karen Feigh, Club Flight Instructor Nelse Hansen and WWII veteran Robert Powell. We look forward to the participation of current and prospective YJFC members in these activities.

On June 30th 2009, during the General Meeting, Bernie Dvorscak will be speaking to YJFC members and sharing his experiences. He is GT AE '56, a retired U.S. Navy fighter pilot, and formerly a Lockheed Test Pilot. We welcome Bernie ! Read More

Airport Fun Day this Saturday!
Airport Fun Day has been set for Saturday, October 18, 11:00 at Fulton County Airport. This is a great opportunity to get familiarized with your airplanes and fellow airplane enthusiasts. Free food, drinks, airplane rides over the city, and maybe a tower tour will be provided! Read More
Private Pilot Ground School Fall 2008
Private Pilot Ground School this fall will be beginning on September 10, 2008. This is a good opportunity to dive into aviation for those who have not begun flying as well as for those who are amidst their training. By the end of the 10 weeks, you will have the knowledge to successfully pass the Private Pilot Written Test.

NEW MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Those who are interested in the flying club should come to the next Executive Committee meeting. These meetings are held weekly on Tuesday nights, 6:30 in room 211 of the instructional center (there will be signs). There will be an information session about the club followed by a question and answer session.
